Found this little jewel of art glass at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral during an architecture tour by @seaarchitecture of the church and neighborhood. So many hidden nuggets to love. ️🧡️

  1. That’s absolutely gorgeous Sherry! I was going to say it looks quite modern. Then I saw in your reply to Marilee that it’s from the 1960s. Mid-century modern, indeed! xxx

    1. I saw this at the end of our tour, just as we were leaving the building, and I was charmed by it, so I had to get a photo. This church has so many nooks and crannies like this–little jewels in a mix of architectural styles.

    1. This church is quite the eclectic mix. Construction was started in the second decade of last century, then the Depression hit and finances put a stop to grandiose plans. Then finances got better but not good enough to create anything elaborate–and this pattern went on and on until the end result is a mix of a century’s worth of design. It’s actually pretty cool. This particular window was right near the front door. It was part of the addition built in the 1960s. The door itself had wooden slats with pretty red and blue glass that showed between the slats.
