Coming Soon? Instagram Files Series

Over the last several months I’ve realized I use Instagram a lot to create what would ordinarily be blog posts. This includes outfit ideas, videos, life observations, and photos from travels and events I attend. Sadly, though, I have not been good about posting the same information to my blog. I’m simply not organized enough to get it done and this leaves some of you out. Not all my favorite people are on Instagram (or likes it enough to check it all the time).

I want all my blogger friends to laugh with me when I’m being silly.

With this in mind, I’ve decided to try something that might help us all stay in touch in spite of my lack of organizational skills. I found a tool that integrates my Instagram posts into my blog. This means I will be posting here more often! Yay! I still plan to post longer-length articles here from time to time, but if this works the way I hope, it could mean we all stay in touch and this conversation we’re having about fashion over 40 continues more regularly for everyone who wants to participate! (I just hope you don’t get sick of me! ha ha!)

I post more outfits to Instagram. But now these will be post to my blog as well!

Learning Curve Ahead

This is a new thing. I have yet to actually try it and I may make some mistakes along the way. Please bear with me. If the posts you receive via email look weird or are unreadable, please let me know! If you’re receiving too much from me, also tell me that. I’m doing this to make our connections easier, not messier.

Hands Across the Internet

In case you don’t already know, let me be explicit in my gratitude for you. Since starting this blog three years ago, my life has become rich with amazing women I’ve met through Petite Over 40. I want to make our connections easier and more accessible. I don’t want to lose you.

So–THANK YOU! And, please stay with me as we move ahead into a new way of doing things.

  1. This sounds like a great idea, Sherry. I haven’t made it over to Instagram yet, and I’m not sure I ever will, as I don’t want to give up blogging and doing both that and Instagram would take up too much of my time. I like seeing what you’ve been wearing, and I absolutely love the dress you got from Susanne’s Etsy shop! xxx

    1. Thank you, Ann! I know what you mean about not having time for both. That’s why I am trying this new idea. It’s just too difficult to handle both. We need assistants! đŸ™‚ ha ha!

I’ll be posting more outfit photos as soon as I get back to Seattle. For now, I’m in Arizona taking care of some business, so I’m relying on my husband to share his Seattle photos so I can live vicariously through him!

      Hugs to you!

Now this is exciting!!! I just spent about 30 minutes looking back at a ton-o-instagram posts from 2018. I knew I was missing out by not subscribing. I know instagram is quicker and satisfying in a different way than blogging but until now I hadn’t realized how much I’d been missing in not keeping up with you more steadily/ frequently.
I didn’t know you had migraines!
    Snored and did sleep testing.
    Posted daily(?) cutenesses.
Were at Minnesota’s Minnehaha Falls that recently!
Was that long shag haircut the new look you just went with? Cute!!!
I’m really looking fun to seeing your postings on a more frequently basis my friend!! Yahoo!

    1. Yay! I was thinking about you, Jude, when I went in search of a way to share my Instagram posts to the blog. I love staying in touch with you and feel like this will give us a way to connect even more!

      Hugs!!!
      – Sherry
