Ballet-en-Converse

Seattle blogger, Sherry Dryja from Petite Over 40, poses like a ballet dancer in a thrifted outfit from Thredup.com. Her outfit consists of a green Gap sweater, distressed Madewell jeans, and Converse sneakers with a blue floral pattern.

After watching the son of my friend Arlene spin like a ballet wizard I felt ready to give the art a try myself. Presenting my attempt at Ballet-en-Converse.

Hmm…It would seem I need more lessons from Arlene’s son.

Outfit details: Gap sweater, Madewell jeans, and Converse sneakers all #secondhand from ThredUP.

  1. I would probably twist my ankle, or get complaints from my dodgy knee if I tried that 😉 Love the stripey sweater! xxx

    1. Thanks, Ann! My ankles started barking at me before I finished that little trick. I’m not sure all the lessons in the world would help me achieve dancing on my toes without breaking something important. 😀

Converse sneakers look cooler and are more comfortable than ballet shoes!
    Love that stripey t-neck!!

    1. Thanks, Jude! I think you’re right about the comfort of Converse vs. ballet shoes. I can’t imagine running around town in the latter.
