Fab Collab Celebrates Christmas at 70 Plus

It’s that time again when the ladies from JTouchofStyle join me in a Fab Collab. Over the coming week we’ve been celebrating Christmas together by sharing holiday memories and clothing we wore for the occasion.

My story kickstarted the celebration and we continued the party with a story from Jodie and one from Nancy. Today we come to the end of our Fab Collab with Charlotte’s story.

As many of you know, each of us was born in a different decade: Charlotte is in her 70s, Nancy is in her 60s, Jodie is in her 50s, and I am in my 40s. As a result, our memories offer quite a range of fashion history! Our stories don’t end there, however. We also share our ideas for how we style Christmas outfits for today.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little cyber celebration! Please be sure to share your own Christmas fashion memories—the good and the bad—in the comments below or on our Facebook pages. Pictures welcome! 🙂

Charlotte’s Story about her Christmas Picture Memories

The picture below is from Christmas 1966 in San Mateo, California at my sister-in-law’s house. Jodie was an infant and Joe & I had flown west from Ohio to attend the Rose Bowl. Why, you ask? Because our Alma mater, Purdue, was finally playing in the big game. Not that Joe & I were the hugest football fans, but it was an exciting time for us Purdue alumni. We thought it’d be a fun time to see the parade and visit family.  Jodie’s aunt Nancy (her dad’s sister) hosted this open house since we were staying with her. It was my first time visiting California so we also got to be tourists while we were there.
